I just bought a new TV, a LCD TV, and I also just had digital cable connected with high definition. I plugged the box in and connected the red-blue-green cord from the box to the TV and the red-white cord to the TV. I waited over an hour with the power to the box turned on (so it could boot.) When I begin setup for the TV, I click “cable”, then it asks me what to use to search for channels, and I pick “std.” Unfortunately, it only picks up 2 channels in the search (neither digital), and poor reception on both. I’ve had almost no help when I attempt to contact the cable company, and the booklets just explain what to do when you get to the digital screen. Can anybody help me (by giving me step by step directions) on how to get my TV to properly receive cable? I would definitely appreciate some help. Thanks.

Question about using an LCD TV as a computer monitor?

I just got a LCD tv for christmas and I found out it can also be used as a computer monitor. I hooked it up and it worked fine but when I tried to play Call of duty: world at war on it the whole image shifted to the right. So the right side of the screen was missing and the left side had a large black area in it.

Lcd and external tv box combined with a ps3?

I have an old Lcd mag 15.4″ monitor that I would like to use with my ps3. Since my lcd is old its input is only vga not unlike newer lcds with 2 inputs like dvi and vga. The thing is I would like a stand alone tv box with connections of the y/r/w cable. The cables that comes originally with the ps3(the av rca cables). What external tv box can you guys recommend? thanks!
